Spying Devices

Spying devices are miniaturized or hidden version of recording hardware that allow you to monitor or record what is going on in an area without the knowledge of those nearby. These devices are illegal to use in many cases, especially in a public area or for monitoring a conversation with somebody without their knowledge. However, they have many legal uses beyond the obvious and are definitely worth considering as a solution to many problems.

The most obvious use for spying devices is for protecting one’s home. Placing several spying devices around the house is more effective at catching criminals than typical cameras, as they are less likely to be noticed than a visible camera. Spying devices can also be used to keep track of your children while you are away or to watch for shoplifters in one’s place of business or even to record lectures in a school. Today using spying devices has become almost an art form as people record the actions of passers-by with their phones and places the videos on popular sites such as YouTube.

There are two types of these devices that you can buy: audio and video. Audio devices, as the name implies, are spying devices that can keep track of the sound in an area. These devices can range from tiny devices that can hold a few minutes of sound to slightly larger ones that are highly efficient and can broadcast sound to stations far away. There are even devices that point a laser at a window to detect vibrations and translate this into sound. Obviously the latter are very expensive devices that might as well have come right out of a James Bond film, but either way the more you are willing to pay, the fancier and more effective your audio spying device will be.

Video spying devices are much the same. You get what you pay for. There are some video spying devices that are small and can only take a few minutes of footage, or may do so in only black and white. There are other that can see for hundreds of yards, can stream footage over the internet, can detect motion and only turn on when they are needed, or can see in the dark. Full-property coverage will also cost more as more cameras will be needed.

The cost of these devices varies widely. For audio devices, a simple small recorder will start at $5, while the most advanced device that can capture all of the conversation in a large room will cost up to several hundred dollars. For video devices, simple ones will start at $20 and motion-detecting night-vision recorders with their own server will cost several thousand dollars. And then, there is the next tier of “James Bond” devices that can do even more– at a much higher cost.

As you have probably figured out, spying devices are extremely versatile and can do just about anything if you are willing to pay for it. These devices can help you do anything from protecting your home, to capturing lectures at school, to making sure that your employees at work stay on task. Whatever your need, if it involves surveillance, you can be sure that there is some type of spying device that can solve it for you.
